April is our client service specialist.  She came to Lifetime Planning after 10 years in the legal field.  She has always been known as a "people person" and her strongest trait is assisting clients with an enthusiastic attitude and approach to her work.  She enjoys barbecues, Dodger games, and watching family soccer games.

Barbara Smith is our accountant and administrative assistant. She joined Lifetime Planning after working in the district library for the Pleasant Valley School District for 16 years. She says she and David have been married for what seems like a very long time. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, and playing with her three granddaughters.

David M. Smith, a CFP® practitioner, is the President of Lifetime Planning, Inc. Smith received his bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University in 1966 and taught high school from 1967-1979. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner since 1983. He is a former Camarillo mayor and city council member, and is active in the Camarillo Noontime Optimists service club. He has written a weekly financial column for two newspapers and is listed in the most recent edition of Who’s Who in Business and Finance. David is a member of the Hanson McClain Retirement Network, an independent nationwide network of financial advisors who focus on retirement planning for telecommunication employees.  As part of this focus, David has joined CWA Local 6171.  He is a registered principal with Securities America and has a California insurance license #0575801.


Eric S. Smith, JD, CFP®

Eric S. Smith, JD, and CFP® practitioner joined the firm as an associate in January, 1999. He received his law degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu in 1997, and his bachelor’s from the University of California, San Diego in 1995. He studied in Spain for one year and is bilingual in Spanish. Prior to coming to the firm he was a contract counsel for the County of San Diego.  He has been a securities dispute arbitrator for FINRA and taught retirement planning classes for Cal Lutheran's MBA program. Eric is a member of the Hanson McClain Retirement Network, an independent nationwide network of financial advisors who focus on retirement planning for telecommunication employees.  As part of this focus, Eric has joined CWA Local 6171.  He is a registered representative with Securities America and has a California insurance license #0C84302.

Bill graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1974. He served in the navy for 13 years as a search and rescue helicopter pilot. He began practicing as a financial planner in 1983, and attained the designation of CFP®  practitioner in 1987. He specializes in retirement planning, growth, and income programs.

Robert S. Harrell

Robert S Harrell joined Lifetime Planning in September of 2005 as an investment advisor representative. He started his career as a registered representative in 2002 after graduating from California State University Northridge in 2001. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration and Economics with an emphasis in management.  He attended the U.S. Space Academy in Huntsville, Alabama and was an exchange student to Japan during his junior year of high school.

 

Robert specializes in solving financial problems for his clients and helping them plan to achieve their lifetime financial goals such as sending children to college or achieving financial independence prior to normal retirement age. He accepts new clients if they have $100,000 or more in investment capital or if they are related to or referred by his current clients.
